It is probabily the must beautiful and certainly the must luxurious street of Roma, leading from Via del Corso to Piazza di Spagna. It owes its name to the "Acqua Vergine" water pipes laid in 19 BC so as to supply Agrippa's thermal baths, reopened by Pope Niccolo V to supply Trevi Fountain the headquarters of the most important fashion houses are here or in the immediate vicinity, there are also luxurious shops and the oldest cafe of Roma, the "Antico Caffe Greco".
