It was the ancient Ello's bridge, built in 130 AD to link the Adriano's Mausoleum (present Castel Sant'Angelo) to the Campo Marzio.The ten angels that decorate the bribge are a work by Bernini and wareadded in 1600 under Clement IX's pontificate of the five arches that subdivide the brige, only three were part of the original structure.
