It was realized in I6IOforCardinal Scipione Borghese, who wanted it to be always open to the public it is the most famous Roman Villa and in 1901 it became a public park officialy called "Umberto I'but universally known as Villa Borghese the flyover that links it to Pincio dates from 1908.
